Token Fly for the day.....

After my Kendal abomination, I got back on the wagon last night with this fly - Tipperlin, from Marbury.

Slight variant in that I left off the Peacock Herl butt, though I will retie it with that tonight. Pretty fly, and one I've wanted to tie for a while.

I've also been thinking the last few days that I might start a new project in the new year - 52 Salmon flies - one new fly per week for a year, with the initial idea being that they will be flies I've not tied before, or flies I like that I've not tied in a long time (Tom Tickler comes to mind here). Not sure if it will be a separate blog, or if I'll incorporate it to this blog....who knows. It is but a twinkle in my eye right now - so we'll see what happens.

As winter starts to settle in, you can expect to see some more flies from me, including Project Ghost, where I"m going to try to tie as many of the "Ghost" type streamers as I can find in the literature.

Thanks for checking in.
