Save The Dollaghan

As I'm originally from the shores of Lough Neagh in Northern Ireland, it would be remiss of me to not post about this.

The Dollaghan is a lake run brown trout, with various strains which are native to Lough Neagh, the largest inland lake in Europe. Due to illegal netting and poor policing of the tributaries of the lake, fishing clubs are seeing fewer returns of the fish to the spawning beds in the rivers.
The images below, taken by local fishermen, are from a post on UK Fly Fishing Forum , linking to the petition. If you like this fish, care about conservation of fish species and have a couple minutes to sign the petition, please do so here

You can also join the facebook page to find out a little more about the fish and the efforts being made to save it and others on Lough Neagh
